"The Barber of Seville", the joyful opera by Gioacchino Rossini, returns to its home stage-State Opera-Stara Zagora on 14 May. After its two highly successful tours in Pazardzhik and Plovdiv, to full houses and lots of applause, Figaro and the rest of the entourage, will give themselves away to you again in Stara Zagora.

In addition to good mood, laughter and cheers, the Figaro team has prepared another pleasant proposal for the upcoming performance on May 14. The invitation to the audience this time is operatic and culinary. Every ticket purchased for "The Barber of Seville" gives a 20% discount on the menu at the Restaurant "Imperia"-Stara Zagora in the evening before or after the performance. The menu is from the Italian cuisine and...of course the "Empire" are preparing surprises! The discount is valid upon presentation of a purchased ticket from the State Opera-Stara Zagora. So keep your tickets!

At the age of 37, Gioachino Rossini was already enjoying his fame as a composer, but he never abandoned his other love - cooking. At his home in Paris, he gave glamorous "musical" lunches, and on Saturdays 30 selected guests enjoyed his exquisite dishes. The ministers, ambassadors and aristocrats of the time dreamed of attending his magnificent receptions, at which the witty and generous host treated the guests to dishes he had invented himself. Maestro Rossini believed that haute cuisine and fine music were "two trees from one root". Throughout his life he strove to achieve harmony. A few years ago, a book was published in Paris entitled Rossini and the Sin of Gluttony. In it are published some 50 recipes invented by Gioachino Rossini: Figaro salad of boiled veal tongue, cannelloni a la Rossini, the world-famous 'Tournedo Rossini' - fried veal cutlet with foie gras pate and Madeira sauce... and many more.
